EDITORIAL POLICIES

1. Plagiarism Policy

Plagiarism is defined as the unauthorized use of another person’s ideas, words, or results without proper acknowledgment.

  • All manuscripts are screened for plagiarism.

  • Detected plagiarism may result in rejection, correction, or retraction.

  • Authors found guilty of plagiarism may be barred from future submissions.


2. Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

JACS is committed to maintaining the highest ethical standards in scholarly publishing.

Responsibilities of Authors:

  • Ensure originality and proper citation.

  • Confirm that all co-authors have contributed significantly.

  • Disclose conflicts of interest.

  • Avoid multiple or simultaneous submissions.

Responsibilities of Editors:

  • Evaluate manuscripts based on academic merit.

  • Maintain confidentiality.

  • Address ethical complaints appropriately.

Misconduct:

  • Proven cases of fraud, plagiarism, or ethical violations may result in article retraction and institutional notification.


3. Peer Review Policy

  • JACS operates a double-blind peer review system.

  • Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent experts.

  • Editorial decisions include: Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject.

  • The journal reserves the right to reject manuscripts at any stage.


4. Open Access Policy

JACS provides immediate open access to all published articles.

  • Readers may freely read, download, copy, distribute, and share articles.

  • Authors retain copyright and are encouraged to disseminate their work.


5. Conflict of Interest Policy

All participants in the publication process must disclose potential conflicts of interest.

Authors:

  • Must declare financial or professional relationships influencing the research.

Reviewers:

  • Must decline reviews where impartiality is compromised.

Editors:

  • Must not handle manuscripts where conflicts exist.

Undisclosed conflicts may result in corrections or retractions.


6. Copyright and Licensing

  • Authors retain full copyright of their work.

  • Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) License.

  • Authors must obtain permission for third-party materials.


7. Archiving and Digital Preservation Policy

  • All articles are securely archived with regular backups.

  • Articles are accessible via the journal website indefinitely.

  • DOI assignment ensures permanent accessibility.

  • Content may be transferred to institutional repositories if necessary.


8. Withdrawal and Retraction Policy

Manuscript Withdrawal (Before Publication):

  • Authors may withdraw by formal request.

  • Administrative fees may apply after peer review.

Retraction (After Publication):

  • Applied in cases of plagiarism, data fabrication, or major errors.

  • Retraction notices remain permanently linked to the article.

Publication fees are non-refundable after publication.


9. Indexing and Abstracting

JACS is currently indexed in:

  • Google Scholar

The journal is actively pursuing inclusion in additional indexing databases.
