Authors' Submission Guidelines

1. General Information

Authors submitting manuscripts to the EBSU Journal of Accounting and Contemporary Studies (JACS) are required to follow these guidelines to ensure a smooth review and publication process.


2. Manuscript Preparation

  • Manuscripts must be written in English, using clear and concise language.

  • Submissions must be in Microsoft Word format (DOC or DOCX).

  • Use Times New Roman, 12-point font, with 1.5 line spacing.

  • The manuscript should be structured in the following order:

    1. Title

    2. Author(s) Name(s) and Affiliation(s)

    3. Abstract (150–250 words)

    4. Keywords

    5. Introduction

    6. Review of Related Literature

    7. Methodology

    8. Results

    9. Summary of Findings

    10. Conclusion

    11. Recommendations

    12. References


3. Formatting and Style

  • Use APA 7th Edition referencing style consistently.

  • Tables and figures must be properly numbered and titled.

  • All in-text citations must appear in the reference list.


4. Originality and Ethical Requirements

  • Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.

  • Plagiarism in any form is prohibited.

  • Ethical clearance must be obtained where applicable (e.g., studies involving human or animal subjects).

6. Peer Review and Editorial Decision

  • All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review process.

  • Authors will be notified of the editorial decision within one month of submission.

  • Accepted manuscripts require payment of the applicable publication fee before final publication.


7. Publication Charges

JACS operates an open-access publishing model.

Standard Fees:

  • Online-only publication: ₦35,000

  • Online and print publication: ₦45,000

Authors from Nigeria will receive payment instructions via email.

Discounts and Waivers:

  • Bulk submissions (more than 3 papers) may qualify for discounts.

  • Institutional and departmental partnerships are eligible for reduced fees.

  • Authors facing financial hardship may apply for a waiver or discount.

Refund Policy:

  • Publication fees are non-refundable after publication.
